Ontario Deputy Premier and Health Minister Christine Elliott said on Tuesday that Abbott ID NOW rapid COVID-19 tests received by the federal government will be used in hospitals and assessment centres in rural areas, as well as in early outbreak investigations in hotspots like Toronto and Peel Region, currently under lockdowns.
