Remembrance Day 2020: Playing of ‘The Last Post’ marks different kind of ceremony at National War Memorial
Description
November 11, 2020
Under a cover of grey clouds, federal officials and veterans commemorated the sacrifices of Canadian war dead and veterans, and marked the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War under tight restrictions aimed at limiting the spread of the coronavirus. One of the traditions most associated with Remembrance Day commemorations was in full effect - the playing of "The Last Post" the U.S. military bugle call signalling the end of the day.
