Minister of Veteran Affairs Lawrence MacAulay on Friday condemned Whole Foods’ move to ban its Canadian workers from wearing poppies, which is a symbol of remembrance of fallen soldiers, saying “this is absolutely unacceptable.” Conservative MP of Carleton, Pierre Poilievre, has called on the federal government to join Canadians in boycotting American-owned Whole Foods after their poppy ban.
