Ontario Finance Minister Rod Phillips announced Thursday that the government would spend $12 million on technology to help detect COVID-19 in wastewater, as part of a larger $37-million investment aimed at protecting the water supply. Phillips said the innovation would allow them to detect COVID-19 outbreaks early.
