Ontario Premier Doug Ford on Wednesday announced his government will be providing nearly $1 billion dollars in funding to build better broadband across province. This part of the effort for Ontario’s “long-term economic recovery” amid the coronavirus pandemic, according to Ford, as access to high-speed Internet remains especially “important” during the COVID-19 outbreak.
