One person has died and another is missing after a fishing boat carrying four people capsized on Chemong Lake near Curve Lake First Nation on Sunday morning.
Around 6:40 a.m emergency crews responded to the boat launch in Curve Lake. Peterborough County OPP say some residents of Curve Lake helped rescue three people from the water.
They were all taken to hospital, but one person has been pronounced deceased, OPP said.
The search for a fourth boater was launched and includes the OPP’s marine unit, helicopter unit and dive team.
