When asked by a reporter Tuesday about Canada’s diplomatic ties with China, especially in light of the detaining of Canadians in China Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said “we will remain absolutely committed to working with our allies to ensure that China’s approach of coercive diplomacy” by detaining citizens is “not viewed as a successful tactic.”
