Environment Minister Jonathan Wilkinson said on Wednesday that the government’s proposal on banning single-use plastics will not affect access to personal protective equipment (PPE) or any plastics in the medical environment. However, he said provinces and territories have committed with the government to properly dispose PPE to protect the environment.
