‘Walk a Mile in a Ribbon Skirt’ event in Edmonton aims to educate about stigma against Indigenous women

For many Indigenous women, ribbon skirts are a symbol of empowerment and resilience. A walk in downtown Edmonton Saturday aimed to educate others about their rich history and draw awareness to the preconception women face when wearing them in urban places. Nicole Stillger explains.
