Coronavirus: Canada signs agreement with Sanofi for 72 million possible COVID-19 vaccine doses

Minister of Public Services and Procurement Anita Anand announced on Tuesday that the government had signed an agreement with Sanofi, a French pharmaceutical company, to purchase up to 72 million doses of its COVID-19 vaccine candidate, as well as another agreement with Moderna to purchase additional 14 million doses of its vaccine candidate – in the event either vaccine proves to be successful.
