Coronavirus: Biden says vaccine touted by Trump should be taken if scientists approve its safety

U.S. Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden on Wednesday refuted a reporter’s suggestion that people should trust a COVID-19 vaccine if it’s approved when he’s president, if he’s elected, instead saying that if scientists approve of a vaccine touted by President Donald Trump when he is still in office, it should be taken. Biden added this should only come if three questions he laid out are answered, which include whether the vaccine meets safe and effective scientific standards; that the administration can answer who will validate the decision of green-lighting a vaccine was made based on science; and how can the distribution of the vaccine be done safely and cost-free.
