Coronavirus: Housing activity expected ‘to moderate’ as economic recovery continues, Bank of Canada governor says

Bank of Canada Governor Tiff Macklem told reporters on Thursday that although the rebound in Canada’s reopening phases amid the COVID-19 pandemic was stronger than expected in some areas including housing, he expects the pace of housing activity growth to “moderate going forward” as the “pent-up demand gets worked off.”
