U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Wednesday announced the state department has established “a mechanism requiring approval” for senior Chinese diplomats coming the United States when visiting university campuses, to meet with local government officials and for large cultural events with over 50 people hosted by the Chinese embassy and consular posts outside admission properties.
