During his Tuesday briefing in the White House, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that 87 per cent of American counties have reported declining COVID-19 case numbers. Trump also said that the mortality rate in the country due to the coronavirus has “declined by seven per cent and hospitalizations are declining rapidly.”
