Coronavirus: US COVID-19 testing czar says ‘evidence just doesn’t show’ hydroxychloroquine is effective

The Trump administration’s coronavirus testing czar, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) assistant secretary Adm. Brett Giroir, said in an interview on NBC’s Meet the Press on Sunday that “the evidence just doesn’t show” that hydroxychloroquine, a drug often touted by U.S. President Donald Trump, is effective.
