Coronavirus: Trudeau announces launch of COVID-19 Alert app with Ontario, working to integrate other provinces

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Friday announced the official launch of the COVID Alert app, which will alert the user if they’ve been in contact with anyone who also has the app and has tested positive with COVID-19. As of Friday morning, the COVID Alert app is available to download on a voluntary basis following several weeks of delay. The app is connected with the Ontario health system, but the federal government is working to integrate other provinces.
