Tropical Storm Hanna upgraded to hurricane as it moves toward Texas coast
This morning, the National Hurricane Center said Tropical Storm Hanna became the first hurricane of the 2020 Atlantic hurricane season. The storm is poised to make landfall in Texas later today. Hanna has winds reaching 75 miles-per-hour, but could grow stronger before reaching shore. A hurricane warning remains in effect for parts of the coast which could see a storm surge up to 5 feet. In Louisiana on Friday, heavy rain swept parts of the state, brought on by Hanna.
