A trial of a U.K.-developed coronavirus vaccine has found that it is safe and induces an immune reaction, according to preliminary results. Speaking to reporters on Monday, World Health Organization (WHO) emergencies programme executive director Michael Ryan called it “good news” while stating that the initial trial did not appear to have “any serious adverse events.” He added that there is “a long way to go,” but that it is good to see more data “in this very important phase of vaccine discovery.”
