Federal minister of employment, workforce development and disability inclusion, Carla Qualtrough announced on Friday that the government is expanding its COVID-19 grant of a one-time tax-free payment of $600 for people with disabilities, to include even more Canadians. The expanded plan will be available for the approximately 1.7 million Canadians with disabilities receiving Quebec Pension Plan disability benefit, Canada Pension Plan disability benefit, disability support by Veteran Affairs Canada, as well as seniors eligible for this payment.
