White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany addressed recent reporting that COVID-19 data collected at hospitals would now be sent to a private technology firm, rather than the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), stating that the move was meant to create more accurate data collection and “not to take data away” from the CDC.
