Warning: Disturbing content. Discretion advised. A new transcript from the body camera of Thomas Lane, one of the fired Minneapolis, Minn. officers involved in George Floyd’s death, was presented to the judge on Thursday which reveals former police officer Derek Chauvin, who knelt on Floyd’s neck for nearly nine minutes during his arrest on Memorial Day resulting in his death, had told the 46-year-old Black man to “stop yelling” and that it “takes a heck of a lot of oxygen to talk.” Lane’s lawyer presented the evidence for the officer, who was four days into the job, believing the aiding and abetting charges against him should be dismissed.
