Coronavirus: Trump disagrees with Fauci over U.S. death rate, says country in ‘good place’

U.S. President Donald Trump pushed back on Tuesday against one of the U.S. top health experts Dr. Anthony Fauci, who said earlier that day that it was a “false narrative to take comfort” in a lower rate of death, saying he disagreed with the doctor and that he believed the U.S. was in a “good place.” He also pointed out Fauci has also said not to wear masks and now says to do so. It comes as Trump continues to push for the reopening of schools, saying on Twitter he may cut off funding if they don’t reopen.
