Kudlow says Canada’s strict COVID-19 restrictions to blame for Trudeau not attending USMCA summit

U.S. National Economic Council director Larry Kudlow said on Wednesday that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau would not be attending a meeting with President Donald Trump and Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador on the USMCA trade agreement due to guidelines in place in Canada regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. He said given aspects like face masks and “so forth,” Trudeau made the decision not to travel to the United States.
