U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo praised on Wednesday that the decision to formally withdraw from the World Health Organization (WHO) came after its failure to prevent the spread of a global pandemic, referencing COVID-19, but also because WHO “has a long history of corruption and politicization” as they “got it wrong on SARS and Ebola” before the novel coronavirus.
