Trump rails against ‘angry mobs’ at rally amid COVID-19 pandemic as son’s girlfriend tests positive

U.S. President Donald Trump railed against what he called “angry mobs” of protesters who have been trying to tear down statues of Confederate leaders and other historical figures during a rally at Mount Rushmore on Friday, warning they were trying to erase U.S. history. The rally, with thousands in attendance, came as the COVID-19 pandemic has seen spikes of cases across the country, with Kimberly Guilfoyle – the girlfriend of Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr. – testing positive before attending the Friday event. Trump Jr. has tested negative, according to officials.
