During a Senate hearing on safely returning to work and school amid the COVID-19 pandemic, CDC Director Robert Redfield said that American Airlines’ decision to resume booking flights at maximum capacity amid the pandemic is “under critical review,” stating there was “substantial disappointment” within his organization when the announcement was made.
