Federal funding released for rehabilitation of James Gifford Causeway

Ottawa is chipping in half the cost of fixing the link over Chemong Lake between Bridgenorth and Ennismore.
That amounts to just under five million dollars.
The province, county and township are paying the rest.
The 70-year old causeway is Peterborough County’s busiest stretch of road with some 10, 000 vehicles a day crossing it.
Repairs to the 1.4 km stretch should be complete sometime in 2021
