Coronavirus: WHO explains the difference between a 2nd peak and a 2nd wave of COVID-19

Dr. Mike Ryan, executive director of the World Health Organization’s health emergencies program, and Dr. Marie Van Kerkhove, COVID-19 technical lead, explained the difference on Friday between a second peak of the novel coronavirus and a second wave. Officials said some countries may experience both a second peak within the first wave and a second wave of COVID-19.
