The cab of a transport truck went up in flames early Thursday (June 18) morning on Hwy. 401 in Northumberland County between Cobourg and Grafton.
The truck driver says he was travelling in the eastbound lanes when he noticed a spark coming from the dashboard. He managed to pull over to the shoulder, and within minutes the cab was engulfed in flames.
No injuries were reported, and the merchandise in the transport truck was undamaged. Cobourg and Hamilton Township firefighters responded to the scene.
