Leader of the Official Opposition Conservative Andrew Scheer said on Friday that he is calling for an emergency meeting of the Canada-China relationship parliament committee after the recent ethics commissioner report which showed Foreign Affairs Minister François-Philippe Champagne is indebted to a Chinese bank. Scheer added that Canadians deserve transparency and accountability when it comes to Canada’s relationship with Beijing.
