Chairman of U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff says it was a ‘mistake’ to join Trump’s bible photo op

Gen. Mark Milley, Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, apologized on Thursday for accompanying President Donald Trump to Lafayette Square in Washington, DC for a photo-op at St. John’s Episcopal Church. The administration was criticized after police officers used tear gas and rubber bullets to clear the square of peaceful protesters ahead of the photo-op.
