Scheer demands ‘unequivocal condemnation’ from Trudeau over China’s ‘attack’ on Hong Kong’s rights and freedoms

Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer demanded that the prime minister “unequivocally condemn” the Chinese government’s recent attacks on the people of Hong Kong. Justin Trudeau responded by calling for de-escalation of tensions and said Canada stands with the the people of Hong Kong and continues to support the over 300,000 Canadians living there, but no condemnation was provided by Trudeau.
