During the city’s COVID-19 briefing on Thursday, Toronto Mayor John Tory commented on Sidewalk Labs’ decision to no longer pursue the Toronto waterfront development, stating he “regrets” that the Quayside project is being cancelled. Tory added that once the pandemic ends, Toronto’s economy “will come back strong.”
