Alberta adjusts visitor rule for continuing care facilities to balance ‘quality of life’

Alberta reported 315 new cases of COVID-19 and seven additional deaths in long term care facilities from the illness on Wednesday. As Julia Wong explains, Dr. Deena Hinshaw said Alberta is amending long-term care site restrictions to address residents’ quality of life and the negative impacts of isolation.
