Ontario Premier Doug Ford said on Thursday that the province has hit its first target for COVID-19 testing, which was set at 8,000 people a day, and that as of April 16, the number of tests per day sits at over 9,000 tests done daily, surpassing the initial goal. The next target will be for 14,000 tests done per day by the end of April.
