Coronavirus outbreak: Winnipeg introduces fines for those who ignore physical distancing rules

Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister and Winnipeg Mayor Brian Bowman announced the introduction of fines Thursday for those who flout public health and gather during the COVID-19 pandemic. Fine amounts will be at least $486 for individuals- up to $1,000 – and $2,542 for businesses, and up to six months in jail.
