New York governor Andrew Cuomo said on Thursday that all projection models presented for COVID-19 hospitalizations and deaths are devastating for the state.
One modelling projection suggests the number of individuals hospitalized could range from 55,000 up to 110,000. Another model from The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation suggested a high-point of 73,000 hospitalizations.
Governor Cuomo said the state only has 53,000 bed capacity and they’re at about 18,000 people hospitalized right now.
