Coronavirus outbreak: Quebec premier wants stricter enforcement on self-isolation
Description
April 2, 2020
Quebec Premier Francois Legault said on Thursday he had informed law enforcement in the province to be "less tolerant" on those breaking the rules surrounding self-isolation as part of COVID-19 measures. He said officers will issue more fines, which could range from $1,000 to $6,000. Legault said this came after continuing reports of social gatherings still taking place and non-essential businesses still operating.
