After Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, tested positive on Thursday for the COVID-19 virus, Canadian Health Minister Patty Hajdu said on Friday that he was following public health advice on getting tested and recommended every Canadian do the same. Trudeau announced on Thursday that he would be going into self-isolation for the recommended 14 days after Sophie returned from a trip with symptoms. He has reportedly not been tested as of Friday.
