COVID-19: CDC official says spread of virus in U.S. a question of ‘when’ not ‘if’

The U.S. Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) alerted Americans they should begin to prepare for the spread of COVID-19 in the U.S. after it surfaced in more countries. The director of the CDC’s Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases said Tuesday that it was not a case of “if” but “when” the virus would arrive, but said it’s not known how severe an outbreak in the U.S. could be.
