Security Council, Foreign Affairs Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne said several nations have signalled that Canada is “more engaged.” He also said while they can provide details on whether they have written commitments to votes for Canada to be on the council, it’s more about the discussions about what Canada can bring to the table, such as issues like climate change and gender equality.
