Last week, the Ford government says it will give parents between $25 and $60 per day as compensation for the strike. Speaking to reporters Monday, Ontario Education Minister Stephen Lecce said he views the proposal as fair, and a way to give back to parents who are unjustly punished, in Lecce’s view, by the ongoing job action by teachers.
