U.S. Senate approves U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade agreement, sending bill to Trump to sign into law

The U.S. Senate approved a new North American trade deal on Thursday by a vote of 89 to 10, clearing the way for a revamp of the 26-year-old NAFTA that includes tougher labor and automotive content rules but leaves $1.2 trillion in annual U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade flows largely unchanged. The measure will be sent to President Donald Trump for signing into law.
