At least 16 people were killed in the Philippines as Phanfone, also known as Typhoon Ursula, swept over the region on Dec. 24 and 25, leaving with it a trail of devastation. The Philippine meteorological agency said the storm had sustained maximum winds of up to 120 km/h near the centre and included gusts of up to 150 km/h.
