Sicamous grant $1-million for forest fire prevention

Being close to nature is one of Sicamous’ biggest appeals but it also creates challenges. A spark in the dense forest could surround homes with flames. So the Shuswap community is eager to use a million dollar grant to help thin out the forest to the southeast of town.
