Trump says he told Sondland ‘no quid pro quo’, knows nothing of phone call referenced in impeachment hearing

Asked about a telephone conversation, allegedly overheard by an aide to Ambassador William B. Taylor, wherein U.S. President Donald Trump claimed he “cared more” about investigating the Biden family than Ukraine’s security situation, Trump told reporters Wednesday he knew nothing about the call. He said in a different conversation with U.S. Ambassador to the EU, Gordon Sondland, he told him there was “no quid pro quo.”
