Japan’s imperial couple rides through Tokyo to mark accession

Japanese Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako rode through the streets of Tokyo on Sunday to mark this year’s imperial accession. Naruhito acceded to the throne after his father became the first monarch to abdicate in two centuries.
