Food bank usage up nearly 30% in October in City of Kawartha Lakes

If you live in the City of Kawartha Lakes, you need to make more than $4/hr more than the minimum wage to make ends meet.
That’s according to the latest numbers from the Ontario Living Wage Network. Officials with Kawartha Lakes Food Source say that wage gap is putting a strain on the supply of food to its food banks.
