Federal Election 2019: Scheer says first piece of legislation Conservatives would introduce would aim to eliminate ‘carbon tax’

Conservative Party Leader Andrew Scheer said on Oct. 16 that if elected prime minister, the first piece of legislation that his government would vote on would be called “An Act to Re-appeal the Carbon Tax,” vowing to rid Canada of federally mandated carbon pricing.
