Taxi drivers once again taking the Quebec Government to court over Bill 17
The CAQ adopted the taxi reform bill last week, much to the dismay of taxi drivers. On Tuesday, a law firm representing the taxi industry announced plans to once again launch a lawsuit against the Quebec Government. The drivers are demanding $1.5 billion from the Quebec government and Uber to compensate them for the losses they will incur with deregulation of the taxi industry. Global’s Phil Carpenter has more.
